Madeline “Maddy” Brown

Maddy has proudly called Mt Somers home for 20 years, where she and her husband have raised their three daughters and built strong connections within the Mid Canterbury community. As the owner and operator of Stronechrubie Restaurant and Accommodation, along with Catering Co., she brings hands-on experience working with people and supporting local events.

With a strong passion for community involvement, Maddy has served as Chair of the Mt Somers Springburn School Board, is currently Treasurer of the Mt Somers Rugby Club, and co-founded I Nuinui Fiji, a registered charity supporting communities overseas. She is committed to listening, collaboration and supporting initiatives that create lasting positive impact across the region.
